The American leader immediately realized the mistake and corrected himself.
The President of the United States Joe Biden mistakenly called him “Putin”.
This happened during the American leader's speech at the Ukraine Compact events on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington.
“I want to hand over to the President of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination. Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin,” Biden announced from the stage.
After this, Biden immediately said that he was so focused on defeating Putin that he accidentally misspoke and said that Zelensky would defeat Putin.
The President of Ukraine, in turn, said, “I'm better,” Biden agreed and said, “You're better from the outside.”
Recall that it was previously reported that US leader Biden announced a new aid package for Ukraine.
In addition, we previously reported that Zelensky made a statement about Putin, Biden and Trump.
