Ukraine in the German Oberhof won the first medal in the frame of the Biathlon World Cup.
Ukrainians – Artem Tishchenko and Daria Blashko – received a bronze medal.
For the Ukrainian team, this was the first medal in the biathlon World Cup season. First and second places were taken by a Russian and an Austrian.
Thus, the standings looked like this:
- Russia (1 + 12) 41: 37.1;
- Ukraine (0 + 12) +1: 03.6.
< li> Austria (1 + 13) +41.5;
Both Ukrainians were able to prove themselves confidently. Tischenko made an emphasis on shooting accuracy, and Blasco was able to confidently show herself in difficult windy conditions.
Let us remind you that earlier it became known that the coach of the Moldova national team Ventseslav Iliev spoke about the tasks facing the team.
According to him, last season there were difficulties with preparation due to the pandemic and organizational issues at the training camp.
Iliev noted that he did everything possible to help his team prepare for this season.
