Elena Solomatina, Ph.D., nutritionist, said that it is better to take a healthy snack for travel. For example, oatmeal or buckwheat, which can be steamed in a thermos, reports AGN “Moscow”.
Solomatina said that a travel snack should be similar to the set of products that a person takes with him to work or to the car, where it is impossible to cook something. She advised steaming oat or buckwheat in a thermos, but not instant cereals.
The nutritionist also named whole grain bread, pre-cut vegetables and cheese, dried fruits – dates, dried apricots, prunes, dried bananas – and nuts as the best snack. Such products are easy to put in jars of dietary supplements or some kind of drugs, which allows you not to touch the food with your hands.
The doctor added that in a stressful situation at an airport or train station, the body is able to reduce the number of enzymes that it secretes under normal conditions. This complicates the digestion process, Solomatina warned.
“You just need to understand that even in a healthy person who sits for a long time, the peristalsis of the gastrointestinal tract can be disturbed. And it can be difficult for him to digest meat that is served on airplanes. He would not even notice on the ground, everything is fine. And there it can cause some kind of fermentation, flatulence, “- concluded the nutritionist.
Earlier, the Russians were given advice on the choice of dried fruits. Nutritionist Svetlana Panchenko advised to choose fruits without shine and cracked skin.
