An unidentified protester set fire to one of the tanks of the Belarusian armed forces while it was being transported on a railway platform near the capital. The video is published by the Basta! Telegram channel.

As the arsonist himself told the channel, he noticed how a large composition of military equipment was moving along the railway from Minsk towards Orsha. The presented footage shows how the Belarusian stealthily approaches the tank and throws a container with unknown contents into it. The technique then ignites.

The man explained his act by an act of civil disobedience. “Tank T-72, 120th division. For the silence of the army, which long ago should have put an end to the powers of “Marshal” Sasha, 3 percent [President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko], “said the unknown.

The Ministry of Defense of the republic has already managed to react to the incident. The military told Nasha Niva that the tank was not seriously damaged and would soon arrive at the training ground. “Tomorrow – in a training battle,” – stressed in the ministry.

Earlier, Lukashenko said that he was ready to defend Belarus “even on a tank, even with a machine gun in his hands.” In his opinion, the citizens of the republic will not forgive him for carelessness in the issue of national security. He promised to act tough in this direction.

In Belarus, protests have continued for the sixth month since the presidential elections on August 9, 2020. The actions are harshly suppressed by the security forces. Tens of thousands of people were detained, and many spoke of torture and beatings in isolation wards. Four people were killed in clashes with security forces.
