The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Makei said that “today in the European Union one cannot talk about any freedom of speech and the rule of law.”

He mentioned sanctions as an example of this. They say that when Minsk tries to “say, deny any sanctions measures in the courts of the European Union, then decisions are immediately made to change the regulations of the relevant structures, which leave us no hope for a positive result.”

About this, Vladimir Makei said in an interview with Russian WMD, Zerkalo writes

According to him, this is a “bitter experience” for Belarus.

“We see that in our attempts to isolate, destroy, strangle our countries (Belarus and Russia – Ed.) The European Union, the West as a whole is taking radical measures, violating all its so-called European values, violating all laws and, moreover, the principles of morality,” Makei added.

As reported, Alexander Lukashenko said: it will not be possible to bring Belarus and the Russian Federation to its knees. The sanctions imposed on Moscow and Minsk because of their actions force us to look for new opportunities, he stressed.
