< p>Belarus suddenly and without explanation introduced a counter-terrorist operation regime in the region bordering Ukraine.
A counter-terrorism operation regime was introduced in Belarus in the part of the Gomel region bordering Ukraine.
The Belarusian publication Belta reports this.
The media, citing the KGB department, stated that a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in the Lelchitsy district of the Gomel region. The area borders with Ukraine, in particular with the Zhytomyr and Rivne regions.
“The population of the area is asked to remain calm and obey the demands of law enforcement officers,” writes Belta.
At the same time, neither the Belarusian media nor the KGB report the reasons for the introduction of the counter-terrorist operation regime.
Recall that in Belarus, virtually occupied by the Kremlin, the local KGB intensified filtration actions against Ukrainians. Over the past month, cases of calling Ukrainians for interrogations and searches have become more frequent.
