Belarus fixes new record for daily increase in COVID cases
In Belarus, over the past day, 1,588 cases of coronavirus were detected, which became a new record. Such data are provided in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Health of the republic.
In total, 122 435 people were infected with the coronavirus in the country during the pandemic. Of these, 1,089 patients died, who also had chronic diseases. 102,113 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
Earlier it was reported that a mandatory mask regime was recently introduced in Minsk.
We will remind, at the beginning of October in Belarus, started testing the Russian vaccine against coronavirus “Sputnik V”. Direct mass vaccination of citizens may begin next year, said Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus Alexander Tarasenko.
