Consultations continue in the Polish government on a possible reaction to the decision of Belarus.

Belarusian regime decided to expel Polish diplomats from Grodno and Minsk. We are talking about a liaison officer of the Polish border service and two consuls.

This is reported by the Polish edition of Onet, referring to the representative of the Polish Foreign Ministry Lukasz Jasin.

“The liaison officer of the Polish border guards will leave Belarus before evening Wednesday, February 22. Probably, two Polish consuls from Grodno will also be expelled,” he confirmed.

When asked about the possible actions of the Polish authorities, Yasina replied that they would be reported as soon as they were taken.

As Onet found out unofficially, consultations are currently underway in the Polish government on a possible response to the decision of the Belarusian regime. It is possible that the Polish government will also decide to expel Belarusian diplomats from the territory of the Republic of Poland.

“All options are on the table right now,” the newspaper writes, citing unofficial sources.

As a reminder, on February 10, Poland closed the border crossing in Bobrovniki, the last one operating in the Grodno region for the purpose of state security.

In response, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry announced restrictions for Polish carriers. As a result of these restrictions, they can enter Belarus and leave through any border crossings for trucks, but only “on the Polish-Belarusian section of the border.” They cannot use the border crossings of Belarus with Lithuania and Latvia.
