Press Secretary of the President of Belarus Eismont: Minsk is used to Western sanctions

The press secretary of the President of Belarus Natalya Eismont said on the air of the ONT TV channel that Minsk was used to Western sanctions.
“But you need to constantly react, you need to constantly be in good shape when our fugitive opponents have declared war on their people,” she said. According to Eismont, in this regard, the country's president, Alexander Lukashenko, constantly “had his finger on the pulse”.
The press secretary of the Belarusian leader added that the current year was not easy “for the country, nor for the head of state.” She noted that the problems were associated, among other things, with the coronavirus pandemic. Eismont added that 2021 was also “a year of very big, very painstaking work to modernize the political system.”
On December 2, the EU adopted the fifth package of sanctions against Belarus due to the situation with migrants on the Polish-Belarusian border. The black list includes more than 25 individuals and legal entities, including Belavia, Grodno Azot and Belarusneft.
