Combat readiness checks begin in the Armed Forces of Belarus. The country's Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin stated that the situation requires being prepared to ensure the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Belarus.
The press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry reported this.
As part of the combat readiness check of the Belarusian army, the readiness and ability of mechanized military units and subdivisions to carry out tasks as intended will be assessed.
The personnel, in particular, those liable for military service called up from the reserve, must carry out a full range of activities to prepare weapons, military and special equipment for use, and go to designated areas.
It is reported that the main practical actions will be carried out during exercises and training sessions of various scales at training grounds and unfamiliar areas.
The soldiers will test new methods of using reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems in joint missions with ground forces and the active use of electronic warfare equipment.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the inspection will involve the movement of military equipment, and temporary restrictions on traffic on public roads and sections of the terrain.
“Considering the peculiarities of the current situation, the goals and objectives of the Armed Forces' training this year, today we are starting a scheduled inspection of the combat readiness of the Armed Forces,” Khrenin said.
He quoted the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko as saying that “we cannot relax.”
“The situation obliges us to keep our finger on the pulse and keep our powder dry, to be ready for what the Armed Forces are intended for, and, if necessary, to ensure the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Belarus,” the Minister of Defense said.
He stated the task of eliminating the stereotypical nature of the troops' actions, creating conditions in which it is necessary to quickly make non-standard solutions.
Recall that in mid-January, the Belarusian army held reservist exercises near the borders of Ukraine.
