According to him, the conclusion of a new program with the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development with the allocation of a state financial loan by the Russian Federation to Belarus is currently being worked out.
“The total amount of the requested funds is $ 3.5 billion, which will make it possible to compensate for the lost European money to refinance external debt, “Snopkov said.
He added that in 2022 Belarus must repay $ 3, 3 billion, and in 2023 – $ 4.7 billion of external debts along with servicing.
Recall, on September 14, 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with Alexander Lukashenko, said that Russia will provide a loan to Belarus at $ 1.5 billion. In addition, the website of the Ministry of Finance of Russia reported that in addition to the funds of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, Belarus will receive a loan from Russia for another 1 billion in two tranches: the first $ 500 million in 2020 and the second $ 500 million – in 2021.
