Belarus announced a “sudden check” of combat readiness on the border with Ukraine

In Belarus, on June 21, a “sudden check” of combat readiness of formations and units of the Armed Forces to perform tasks as intended. The check will take place in the Gomel and Brest regions bordering Ukraine.

This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

“Today a sudden check of the readiness of formations and military units of the Armed Forces to carry out tasks as intended began,” the department said in a statement.

It indicated, that military units and units of operational commands, special operations forces, missile forces and artillery, air forces and air defense forces were involved in the verification.

The corresponding check will take place at training grounds and areas in the Brest and Gomel regions. The Belarusian Defense Ministry warned that during this period the movement of military equipment on public roads is possible.
