Beijing and Moscow Strengthen Alliance: 600 Chinese Military to Study in Russia – Intelligence

Russia continues to deepen military cooperation with China despite public aspirations for dialogue with the United States. In 2025, Moscow plans to accept about 600 Chinese military personnel for training at bases and training centers of the Russian Armed Forces.

This was reported by the Kyiv Post, citing its own sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

Russia to train 600 Chinese military

“The Kremlin has decided to provide Chinese military personnel with the opportunity to study and implement the experience of the Russian army, gained in the war against Ukraine,” said a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate.

The Chinese military will be trained to counter Western weapons – in particular, tank crews, artillerymen, engineers and air defense specialists will be trained.

Ukrainian intelligence notes that such actions by Moscow and Beijing demonstrate a common intention to “move along a course of global confrontation with the West.”

At the end of May, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia has the opportunity to receive Chinese drones such as Mavic, while this opportunity is closed for Ukraine and European countries.
