In the next three years, 5 school quantoriums will open in St. Petersburg, Governor Alexander Beglov said.
So, in 2022, a center for children's technical creativity will appear in the Frunzensky district, in 2023 – in Krasnoselsky. In 2024, quantoriums will open in Pushkinsky, Kurortny and Kolpinsky districts.
The first children's technopark-quantorium was opened last year in the Kalininsky district. On Vasilievsky Island, a pilot project for the creation of quantoriums in schools has been implemented within the framework of the national project “Education”. On September 15, the governor visited him.
“Quantorium will give you more opportunities to study biology, physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, astronomy and other sciences. This is a whole technopark. There are 9 laboratories in it,” said the Governor of St. Petersburg.
The Technopark, where children will be able to receive not only theoretical, but also practical knowledge, is located in school No. 642 (“Earth and the Universe”).
The principle of lifelong education has been introduced in quantorium. In the morning, students are engaged in basic school subjects. In the second – on the programs of additional education.
Beglov stressed that St. Petersburg enterprises and scientific organizations are already awaiting graduates of the Quantorium. Highly qualified specialists with broad modern knowledge and skills are in demand there.
Additional education is increasingly integrated into the general trajectory of training future professionals. At the same time, already at school, the trend towards the development of technical skills is clearly manifested: classes for robotics classes and even real children's technoparks are being equipped, where practicing IT specialists work instead of teachers with children.
