Cristiano Ronaldo returns to his “old love”. The Portuguese joins Manchester United from Juventus Turin.
The English Premier League club made the spectacular transfer public on Friday evening. 25 million euros will go to the “old lady” for the five-time world footballer.
With the decision for United, Ronaldo made a spectacular turn at the last moment. The Portuguese had already agreed on a two-year contract with arch rivals Manchester City before the “Red Devils” straddled in between.
The brief flirtation with the “Skyblues” did not please some Manchester United fans at all. And leads to rash actions that one or the other probably regrets now. For example, a video of an ardent supporter of the “Red Devils” is making the rounds in social networks, who has already burned his Ronaldo jersey.
Others had not gone that far, but they had expressed their displeasure nonetheless. “You cheated on the fans, you cheated on number 7, you broke your own words. And you cheated on Sir Alex Ferguson,” rumbled another fan. Words that had become obsolete just hours later.
Since then, one cheering message has followed the next. The fans are reconciled with Ronaldo again. And the fiery fan will have to get a new jersey …
