Because of Corona: Formula 1 races in Spain without spectators

The Formula 1 race in Barcelona this season will be held without spectators in view of the corona pandemic. The Spanish Grand Prix is scheduled for May 9th. A week earlier, Formula 1 stops in Portimao, Portugal.

The decision for the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was made “as part of public health measures to contain the pandemic caused by Covid-19,” the organizers announced on Saturday. In view of the epidemiological situation and the situation in the hospitals, a possible relaxation of the previous measures is not possible “at this point in time”.
