Donald trump and mark Esper
The President of the United States Donald trump is dissatisfied with work of the head of the Pentagon, Mark Esper. Because of this, the latter can wait for the dismissal, reports Reuters, citing senior sources.
White house spokesman Judd Deere in a conversation with Reuters denied the information about the intent of the American leader. However, sources close to Trump say the opposite.
So the defence Minister can change due to disagreements with U.S. leaders on several issues. In particular, it became known that the head of state is unhappy that Esper did not support his decision on the introduction of Federal forces to quell the unrest in the United States, which began in late may.
In addition, the Pentagon banned the use of the flag of the Confederate States of America (CSA) on a U.S. military installation. The President also demanded to hang him, invoking the law on freedom of speech.
Trump may remove the Esper, if he wins the presidential elections on 3 November this year. The data from different sources as to if the Minister is to hold office, different. Some people think that Esper will leave his post regardless of the outcome of the vote. Others claim that he is ready to continue to work with the American leader.
Mark Esper was appointed head of the Pentagon in the summer of 2019. Before appointment he worked as in-house lobbyist for the military-industrial company Raytheon.
