Bayern can cool down the champagne. After the 2-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen, only one victory is missing for the title.
Meanwhile, the fate of Schalke 04 is sealed. The “Königslbauen” had to admit defeat to Arminia Bielefeld 0: 1 in the basement duel, so they must be relegated.
In Munich, Bayern made the decision early on with David Alaba, who was again allowed to run in midfield. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting put Bayern in the front in the seventh minute, Joshua Kimmich made it 2-0 in the 13th minute. The “Werkself” had nothing to counter this.
Bayern are ten points ahead four laps before the end of the season – one win is missing for the title. Leverkusen meanwhile remains in sixth place in the table.
Adi Hütter found his way back to winning ways with Eintracht Frankfurt in Martin Hinteregger's comeback, celebrating a 2-0 home win against Augsburg after the 4-0 defeat in Mönchengladbach.
Hinteregger had put Frankfurt in the lead in the 37th minute, Andre Silva then scored the second goal in the 58th minute. On the part of Augsburg, Alfred Finnbogason missed the connection goal in the 73rd minute from the penalty spot.
