Baku-Grozny flight crash: Brazil hands over black box data to Kazakhstan

Brazil is the country of manufacture of the plane that crashed.

A Brazilian Air Force laboratory sent data from the flight recorders of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane to investigators from Kazakhstan crashed on December 25 near the city of Aktau.

Radio Liberty reported this, citing a statement from the laboratory.

This document confirms that on January 6, the laboratory completed the extraction of data from the cockpit recorders. However, no details were released about what was contained in the recordings.

Note that after the plane crash, the Kazakh authorities announced that the recorders were being sent to Brazil, which is the country where the plane was manufactured. This happened after Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that Russia was trying to “hide” the cause of the tragedy.

Recall that on December 25, near Aktau in Kazakhstan, a passenger plane Embraer 190AR flight 8432 of “Azerbaijan Airlines” crashed, flying from Baku to Grozny. The plane crash killed 38 passengers, there are casualties.

Meanwhile, Euronews reported that the cause of the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Aktau, Kazakhstan on December 26 was a Russian surface-to-air missile. The damaged plane was not allowed to land at any airport in the Russian Federation, despite the pilots' requests for an emergency landing.
