Authorities are working on the release of six civilian prisoners – Vereshchuk

The Ukrainian authorities are stepping up work on the release of captured civilians.

The Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk, announced this in a video message.

Still in captivity of the aggressor are:

  • Dneprorudny Mayor Evgeny Matveev,
  • Head of the Melitopol District Council Sergey Priyma,
  • Ivankovsky Mayor Tatiana Sviridenko,
  • Head of the Shchastin City Civil Administration Vladimir Tyurin,
  • Secretary of the Skadovsky City Council Yury Palyukha,< /li>
  • rescuer Oleksiy Danchenko.

– The representative of the State Emergency Service, in particular, was announced in the humanitarian corridor. His candidacy was agreed by the parties and the Red Cross, Irina Vereshchuk emphasized.

By the way, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notified the International Red Cross about the establishment in Ukraine on March 17 of a national information bureau, in accordance with the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War of August 12, 1949.

The state enterprise Ukrainian National Center for the Development of Peace, which belongs to to the management of the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, will be a legal entity of public law and will perform the functions of a national information bureau.
