One of the most important points: The 40 tax offices merge into one Austrian tax office, which means that every tax officer has access to all tax files nationwide and can edit them. What exactly does that bring? The abolition of local jurisdiction allows mass processes such as tax equalization and family allowances to be distributed among all underutilized employees. It's faster that way.
What is still to come: The callback service (callers can ask for a call back when waiting) will be expanded. Appointments can be made via the FinanzOnline chatbot Fred. And: FinanzOnline should run on more devices than before without complaint.
