As the survey shows, men seem to be more inclined to drive more aggressively, according to their partners. Because almost a third of the female respondents (31 percent) are annoyed by the fact that their partner drives too fast and becomes aggressive, i.e. also curses and scolds loudly. 30 percent complain about driving too closely, 22 percent cite sudden braking as annoying. Risky overtaking maneuvers are also an issue that 18 percent of women find uncomfortable.
Men criticize their partners for a less fluid driving style and abrupt braking (27 percent) as well as driving too close and lack of parking skills, each with around a quarter. In addition, 23 percent bothers that their partner drives too slowly.
According to the survey, the under-30 age group in particular is more dangerous on the move. For example, 32 percent of respondents under 30 stated that their partner was bothered by driving too fast, a further 28 percent criticized risky overtaking maneuvers, and 27 percent complained that the partner in the driver's seat became aggressive and cursed loudly.
Incidentally, every fifth person did not mind their partner when he was behind the wheel. It also showed that with age comes equanimity. Among the 18 to 29 year olds, only one in ten stated that they had nothing to complain about their partner's driving style; among the 50 to 65 year olds it was already a quarter who were completely satisfied with their partner in the driver's seat.
