Poland believes that sanctions against Russia for its aggression are necessary.
Speaker of the Polish government criticized the statement of the head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry, who called among the weakening of European restrictions on Moscow. In Warsaw, they recalled that such a policy in the energy sector led to war.
This was stated by the speaker of the Polish government, Piotr Müller.
“Every attempt to turn a blind eye to Russian crimes under the guise of a return to normal the functioning of economic relations is a huge mistake,” said Polish government spokesman Piotr Müller.
He added: “Poland adheres to its opinion on sanctions against Russia.”
The day before, Austrian Foreign Minister Aleksander Schallenberg urged to maintain a sense of proportion in relation to Russia and called among the people to ease European restrictions on Moscow. Schallenberg also criticized Poland for preventing Russian Minister Lavrov from attending the OSCE meeting in December.
In turn, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry invited the head of Austrian diplomacy to visit Dnipro, where he will be able to repeat his arguments about a sense of proportion in front of the families of forty-four people who died from a Russian missile attack on a high-rise building.
