Austria board member Markus Kraetschmer spoke out in the media for the first time in days. The manager told the radio station kronehit that everyone in charge in the club was working very hard on the goal of being able to submit the missing license documents in good time. “I would say almost around the clock, the nights are very short and the days very long,” reported Kraetschmer.
“The clear goal is to create a future for Austria, and that is what we will concentrate on in the next few days,” continued Austria's long-standing economic boss. The phone call with the broadcaster came off quite curiously. If the called party picks up, he receives 10,000 euros if he says the correct sentence. Kraetschmer missed the chance. The chairman of the board mused: “At the moment, every euro would be important for Austria for the future.”

The club committees meet again on Friday afternoon. The board of directors and the supervisory board wanted to define the current situation. Austria is reportedly missing several million euros for the game permit for the coming season. This should be made possible by a bank guarantee, for which the club has so far waited in vain.
The submission deadline for the Bundesliga is next Wednesday (April 21), after which the league's protest committee will make a decision in the second instance by April 28. In the event of a further negative decision, Austria would then only have to go to the Permanent Neutral Arbitration Court. This acts as the last instance instead of an ordinary court. If Austria does not receive the license, the traditional club is threatened with bankruptcy.
Kraetschmer has been under pressure at the latest since the license was no longer available. In recent years Austria has accumulated liabilities of 78 million euros due to the stadium expansion. The collaboration with the lifestyle group Insignia has not yet brought any remedy. Primarily sponsorship funds are to be acquired through the GmbH with the strategic partner. Vice-President Luka Sur recently said that they are not responsible for the license.
