France and Australia will jointly produce 155-mm caliber shells for further delivery to Ukraine.

According to him, the two countries have agreed to cooperate to manufacture “several thousand” 155mm shells to help Ukraine, which he hopes can start arriving in the first quarter of this year.

In turn, Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles announced a “multi-million dollar Australian project” and a “new cooperation” between Australians and the French in the defense industry.

How distant Australia supports Ukraine
Previously reported that a contingent of 70 Australian troops will be deployed to the UK to train Ukrainian defenders.
Total Australian financial support for Ukraine at the end of 2022 exceeded $655 million, including $475 million military assistance.
Also, Australia provided the Ukrainian defenders with well-proven Bushmaster armored personnel carriers, in particular during the counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region.
