Audi will compete in the next edition of the Dakar Rally with three absolutely exceptional drivers. For the desert rally in Saudi Arabia, which will take place from January 2 to 14, the German manufacturer has hired two-time DTM champion Mattias Ekström from Sweden as well as multiple Dakar winner Stephane Peterhansel from France and rally icon Carlos Sainz from Spain.
Peterhansel has already won the Dakar 14 times, six times by motorcycle and eight times by car. The two-time rally world champion Sainz was successful three times. Audi is the first car manufacturer to use an electrified drive at the rally.
