A suspect in the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Robert Fico was arrested in Slovakia. He will be held in custody in court.
A court in the Slovak town of Pezinok ruled that the suspect in the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Robert Fico is pending trial will be in custody.
This is reported by Barron's.
“The reason… is fears about a possible escape or continuation of criminal activity,” said court spokeswoman Katarina Kudyakova.
Attempt on the life of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico
Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico on Wednesday, May 15, was wounded during a shooting in the building where the government meeting was taking place.
It subsequently became known that 71-year-old Juraj Chintula, who was detained for the attempt on the life of the Prime Minister of Slovakia, had previously praised the pro-Russian paramilitary group Slovenský branci and took a joint photo with its members.
