The terrorist group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack.

A suicide bomber in a car loaded with explosives has crashed into a military convoy in northwestern Pakistan, near the border with Afghanistan, killing at least 16 Pakistani soldiers.
TRT reports this with reference to local media.
According to sources in the Pakistani newspaper Khyber Chronicles, the attack took place in the town of Mir Ali in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where fierce clashes between Taliban militants and Pakistani security forces had previously taken place.
The attack was directed at a vehicle of the sapper unit of the 22nd border troops regiment.
“The explosion also caused the roofs of two houses to collapse, injuring six children,” said a police officer working in the area.
The terrorist group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to media reports, at least 24 military personnel and 14 civilians were wounded in the attack.
Pakistan's military and security forces have yet to issue a statement on the attack.
Islamabad has previously accused terrorists from the Tehreek-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), who are allegedly based in Afghanistan, of carrying out terrorist attacks in Pakistan. At the same time, Kabul denies that such attacks are carried out from that country.
Let us recall that earlier an armed conflict broke out between Pakistan and neighboring India, which was resolved with the mediation of the United States.
