Negotiations must begin in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.
Bulgaria intends to propose peace talks between Ukraine and Russian forces at the upcoming NATO summit in Washington aggressors.
This was stated by the acting Bulgarian Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, reports Novinite.
“I sincerely believe that we should advocate for peace talks, and Bulgaria will act as a mediator… and I will propose exactly that, there are no problems,” he said.
At the same time, he expressed doubts that Bulgaria could become a mediator, since this would require the consent of both parties.
Glavchev also stated that the talks should begin in accordance with the UN Charter and international right.
“It must be noted that these peace negotiations must comply with the UN Charter and international law. These conditions, in my opinion, are not negotiable,” Dimitar Glavchev emphasized.
Recall that it was previously reported that Zelensky answered whether Putin would be invited to the next Peace Summit on Ukraine.
In addition, we previously reported that Erdogan offered Putin to agree to a “just peace”.
