On Victory Square in Minsk, the memory of the fallen participants of the war was honored, the correspondent of the TV channel “MIR 24” Polina Sribnenko reports.

The atmosphere of a victorious May was recreated at a dozen sites in Minsk. Celebrations began on Victory Square. This date is special for Belarusians. Indeed, during the Great Patriotic War, every third resident of the country died.

Those who went through the war and defended the independence of Belarus are decreasing every year. Now there are slightly more than three thousand of them. There is a special attitude towards veterans. They are in the most honorable places near the Victory Obelisk. Several thousand people gathered here.
