During a protest action in Minsk on November 8, the owner of the title “Miss Belarus” 2008 Olga Khizhinkova was detained. In the Belarusian capital on Sunday, the “March of People's Power” is being held; as of 16:30, according to human rights activists, more than 300 people have been detained.
The media reported that the former “Miss Belarus” was put in a special vehicle on Freedom Square together with other participants of the action. On the site of the Viasna center, Olga Khizhenkova is on the list of those detained during the Sunday action.
Earlier, during the suppression of rallies in the capital of Belarus, basketball player Elena Levchenko (who later served his arrest) and the brother of the famous biathlete Daria Domracheva (he was beaten by security officials, although he said that he did not participate in the protest) were detained.
