Military funding will be reduced.
The United States will not support military funding Ukraine< /strong> at the level of 2022-2023, because they strive to help Ukraine build its own military-industrial base.
State Department Speaker Matthew Miller stated this at a briefing, writes “European Truth”.
“We will continue to support Ukraine… for as long as necessary. This does not mean that we will continue to support them at the same level of military funding as in 2022 and 2023,” he said .
According to him, the United States does not believe that there is a need for continued support at the same level, since Washington’s goal is to help Kiev stand on its own feet and build its own military-industrial base so that it could independently finance, produce and purchase weapons.
And US National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby said that the United States does not yet have budgetary funds for new military support for Ukraine.
Recall that on December 27, US President Joe Biden signed the latest aid package for Kyiv, for which there were funds according to his authority. The $250 million package included ammunition for air defense, multiple launch rocket systems and artillery, as well as anti-tank weapons and other equipment.
