US citizens leaving Ukraine must provide a valid US passport and proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

The security situation in Ukraine remains unpredictable due to the growing threat of Russian military action, and conditions could worsen without warning. US citizens in Ukraine should leave immediately using commercial or other private transportation.

This was reported at the US Embassy in Ukraine.

“We recommend that those traveling to Poland by land from Ukraine cross the border at the Korcheva-Krakowets or Medica-Shegini border crossings. The US Embassy has opened a Welcome Center near these border crossings to assist US citizens entering Poland from Ukraine” , they said there.

Americans who need help can contact the Advice Center located in the conference room on the second floor of the SPA Gloria Hotel at Sybiraków 31, 37-700 Przemyśl, Poland.

It is noted that in most cases, US citizens leaving Ukraine must provide a valid US passport and proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Travelers are also advised to provide a negative PCR or rapid COVID-19 test result as early as possible.

Because of the likely threat of Russian aggression, US President Joe Biden called on Americans to leave Ukraine immediately. He added that the US military will not be sent to the zone of the alleged conflict.

Also, the American consulate in Ukraine is temporarily transferred to Lviv.
