According to him, there have been examples in history where, with the advent of productivity in agriculture, people were afraid of losing their jobs, but in fact many new jobs were created and the quality of life improved.
“What happened to agricultural productivity in 1900, when people thought, “Hey, what are we going to do?” And then they created a lot of new things, categories of jobs, and we were much better off than back when everyone worked on the farm. That's how it will be,” Gates said.
The billionaire added that access to AI will be through existing phones and PCs, which will allow this technology to spread among people.
Enhancements to OpenAI's ChatGPT-4 have greatly increased its functionality, allowing it to function as a tutor that provides health advice, coding assistance, and technical support. The implementation of AI in the educational and medical sectors, according to Gates, will be “fantastic”.
