A research center for artificial intelligence will be opened on the basis of St. Petersburg ITMO University.
Under the federal program “Artificial Intelligence”, the project will receive funding in the amount of 1.2 billion rubles.
As noted in the administration of St. Petersburg, the development of the center will improve the efficiency of many industries. ITMO's partner is Gazprom Neft PJSC. The center's innovative solutions will be implemented, including in the development and operation of oil and gas fields.
Among the project customers are also Siemens and Huawei.
As a reminder, the ITMO Highpark, a scientific, educational and innovation center, is under construction in St. Petersburg, where 12 thousand jobs will be created. The new campus will accept more than 3.5 thousand students, five innovative industries will be launched on the territory of ITMO Highpark and several dozen laboratories will be opened.
