In France, security forces suffered during the dispersal of an illegal party

Around the world, despite the imposed restrictions on the coronavirus, there were clandestine New Years celebrations. In the French region of Brittany, a party was held, which was attended by about 2.5 thousand people against the background of the curfew in the country. Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen said this on Twitter.

BFMTV broadcasted that

a rave was organized on December 31st in an abandoned hangar in the commune of Lieron to celebrate the New Year. It was attended by participants from all over France and from abroad.

The gendarmes tried to intervene in what was happening, but they were forced to act softly so as not to create a crush.

However, in the end, lawbreakers threw various objects at the security officials – three were injured. In addition, the car of law enforcement officers was set on fire.

The Minister of the Interior of France noted that from 22:00 on January 1, the entrance to the party for cars was blocked and fines were issued for those leaving – over 200 protocols were drawn up.

“The internal security forces, which were on the spot at night at my request in large numbers, as well as intensive checks, led to a non-violent halt to the rave party in Lieron. We continue to carry out checks and issue fines to each participant as soon as he leaves the place, ”the French Interior Minister explained on Twitter.

After that, the prefecture of the Ile-i-Vilen department clarified to the BFMTV channel that there was no one else in the hangars where the party was taking place. The security officials dismantled the sound system and took it away.

The Rennes prosecutor's office launched an investigation into “illegal party organization amid restrictions” and “deliberate use of violence against persons endowed with state power.”

One of the party-goers, who identified himself as Joe, told AFP news agency that “very few observed social distancing” at the event.

Since October 30, France has been re-quarantined amid the second coronavirus epidemic. Since December 15, quarantine in the country has been replaced by a curfew from 20.00 to 06.00. According to government spokesman Gabriel Attal, the curfew in 15 French departments will start at 18:00.

The curfew did not prevent, however, from organizing an illegal party in another French city – Marseille, where the police covered an underground party with the participation of 300 people. Five people were detained, including three organizers.

On the streets of Strasbourg and other cities of the Bas-Rhine department, during street riots on New Year's Eve, vandals burned about 60 cars.

According to local law enforcement officers, it happened during a curfew. “The situation remains less tense than a year ago,” the police said, adding that several people were detained on suspicion of arson.

In the suburbs of Paris, the Seine-et-Marne department, 120 participants in an illegal party in a construction site hangar were detained. According to a local media source, four of them, including the DJ, were also charged under the articles of “endangering the lives of others” and “shadow employment.”

The Spaniards also found a way to secretly celebrate the New Year with a massive event. There, locals huddled in an abandoned factory near Barcelona to throw a day-long party.

There were up to two hundred people at the party. The police did not disperse them to avoid clashes. Law enforcers simply restricted further access to the building, and installed a device to identify people at the exit.

In the UK, in Essex, where the threat of the spread of coronavirus is at the highest level, a party was organized at an Anglican church built about 500 years ago. The siloviks who tried to stop her were showered with objects that came to hand. Three people were arrested, the portal LADbible wrote.

The British caused about £ 1,000 in damage to the temple. Participants in the rave party broke a window and scattered rubbish all over the building. The organizers of the event were fined £ 18,000.
