The Russian national team has a chance to reach the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. So the prospects of the Russians were assessed by the former midfielder of the national team Andrei Arshavin, quoted by Sport-Express.
In his opinion, there is nothing special about the first rival of the Russian national team – Poland. Separately, Arshavin noted the fact that Valery Karpin's team will play at home. “And to win the second match due to emotions and desire to go to the World Championship. We have chances, the main thing is to dispose of them correctly, ”the footballer said.
In the first round of play-offs, Russia will play at home with Poland on March 24. In case of victory, Karpin's team will have to compete for a ticket to the world championship with the best team from the Sweden – Czech Republic pair.
The World Championship in Qatar will be held from November 21 to December 18 next year. 32 teams will take part in the final stage.
