Marko Arnautovic
New role for Marko Arnautovic! The ÖFB legionnaire tries to co-comment in the Champions League. He doesn't really like this job.
Most recently, “Arnie” rumbled about TV experts who made negative comments about team boss Franco Foda. “I get annoyed when someone stands in the back of a suit and talks. Should he show himself how to do it,” said the Bologna goalscorer recently. But now he can prove his qualities himself. He will be the co-commentator for “Sky Sport Austria” on Monday for the Champions League opening match between Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
Before looking to his national team colleague David Alaba on the legs, the 32-year-old played the Serie A home game against Verona with Bologna on Monday evening. There was a 1-0 victory, with Arnautovic providing the assist for goal scorer Mattias Svanberg (78th). For Bologna it was the second win of the season, which brings it to sixth place in the table.
Arnautovic could have put himself on the shooting list with the home win, but in the 87th minute he shot the ball over the crossbar from close range. He was substituted in stoppage time, and on Saturday there will be a guest appearance against the tied Italian champions Inter Milan.
