At the end of the third round of the Italian Serie A, Marko Arnautovic and FC Bologna won a 1-0 home win over Hellas Verona. The Viennese played again as a center forward for “Rossoblu” on Monday evening and was involved in the decisive goal. After Arnautovic had claimed the ball, the Swede Mattias Svanberg finished successfully from ambush in the 78th minute.
Shortly before the end, Arnautovic had the 2-0 after a corner kick, but hammered the ball over the bar from a few meters (87th). At the end of the game, the striker was replaced to great applause.
Bologna could look forward to the second win of the season. With a total of seven points, the undefeated team is in sixth place in the table. Next Saturday, the guest appearance at the tied champions Inter Milan awaits.
