Armenia reports that it shot down three drones of Azerbaijan

The air defense systems of the Armed Forces of Armenia shot down three Azerbaijani drones (UAVs) in the airspace of the republic, press secretary of the Armenian military department Shushan Stepanyan wrote on Facebook.

“Today, from 16:30 to 17:45, air defense units shot down three enemy UAVs in the airspace of the Republic of Armenia,” Stepanyan wrote.

She added that another drone was destroyed in the airspace of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh.

On September 27, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry announced that it was launching a “counter-offensive operation” in response to the actions of the Armenian Armed Forces, which “shelled settlements on the line of contact in Karabakh.”

In the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, it was reported that settlements, including the capital, Stepanakert, were subjected to artillery fire.

As a result of the hostilities, there are civilian and military casualties on both sides. Martial law and mobilization have been declared in Karabakh and Armenia. Partial mobilization has been announced in Azerbaijan, martial law has been introduced in some cities.
