Citizens of Armenia will be able to visit Russia from February 1 using air travel.

The main condition for the trip is a negative coronavirus test. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a government meeting on Wednesday.

“The program” Traveling without COVID-19 “is starting, according to which the governments of Armenia and the Russian Federation have already made a decision,” RIA Novosti reports Pashinyan's words.

He noted that the planes will stay at specific airports. He noted that the program has a pilot character. So, it will be possible to fly from February 1 to March 1 “.

“But we believe that it will work, since it passed the preliminary test,” the Prime Minister said.

Recall that earlier, due to the spread of coronavirus infection, many countries of the world closed air bridges. Flights to the main destinations from Russia were not carried out until August 1, after which the country's authorities allowed airlines to sell tickets for flights to Turkey, Great Britain, Tanzania and Switzerland.

At the moment, the air bridge with Great Britain is closed again due to the spread of the “British strain” in the country.
