Armenia again demands Pashinyan's resignation: the protesters broke through to the entrance to the parliament

The protesters demand all MPs to gather to impeach Pashinyan.

A crowd of protesters again gathered near the building of the Armenian Parliament, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Thousands of Armenians attended an opposition rally in Yerevan to speak out against concessions in favor of Azerbaijan in the new conflict.

News-Armenia writes about this.

According to journalists, the protesters tried to break through on the territory of the parliament by breaking down the gate.

The protesters chant “Nikol is a traitor” and “Nikol – go away” and demand all the deputies to gather to impeach Pashinyan.

The names were read from the podium and the addresses of the deputies of the ruling party, to whom they threaten to send groups of protesters if they refuse to come to the parliamentary session on the impeachment of the prime minister.

As Sputnik Armenia notes, the opposition deputies have already arrived in parliament. Allegedly, 18 votes are missing before the start of the impeachment process.

Local Telegram channels write that a motorcade from the city of Gyumri is going to help the protesters in the capital.

It is noted that the protests began after Nikol Pashinyan, declared his readiness to sign some documents through which he could be called a traitor. After the start of the rally, the prime minister assured that “no document has been signed or is being prepared for signing.”

Among the radical oppositionists, Pashinyan is criticized for his idea of peace talks with Baku.

Recall that the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia escalated once again at midnight on Tuesday, September 13. The states exchanged accusations of provocations and shelling.
