Fernandez, 61, administered the drug the day after the country approved the use of the Russian vaccine by people over 60. Argentina registered Sputnik V at the end of December.
The Russian Sputnik V vaccine was also inoculated with the President of Guinea, Alpha Conde. Bolivian President Luis Arce has pledged to do the same soon to maintain confidence in vaccinations. Earlier on January 21, Hungary was the first in the European Union to approve the Sputnik V vaccine. The Russian drug is also registered in Belarus, Serbia, Argentina, Bolivia, Algeria, UAE, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay and Turkmenistan.
