Colombian citizen Edgar Alejandro Valero Valero is accused in Russia of theft on an especially large scale. According to the investigation, in July 2018, in the exhibition pavilion of Kazan, a thief stole a travel suitcase with jewelry worth 160 million rubles from an employee of the jewelry company Seven Diamonds, after which he disappeared.
The court in Kazan arrested the criminal in absentia, and he was put on the wanted list.
In September 2019, the Colombian was detained in Argentina, and only in September 2020 was it possible to obtain a positive decision on his extradition. Accompanied by officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the Russian Bureau of Interpol, Edgar Alejandro Valero Valero will be delivered to Moscow.
