MOSCOW, July 8. / TASS /. The Snezhinka International Arctic Station on the Yamal Peninsula may become a testing ground for testing and approbation of hydrogen energy technologies. In total, 2 billion rubles from the budget and 8.5 billion rubles from other sources can be allocated for this project until 2030. This is stated in the presentation of the Ministry of Energy to the Clean Energy project.

The Ministry of Energy also proposes to create a technological testing ground for hydrogen energy on the basis of the St. Petersburg Mining University for 0.9 billion rubles.

According to the ministry, the development of hydrogen energy technologies will allow Russia in 2030 to enter the top five world exporters of hydrogen production technologies. By this time, the export of hydrogen in monetary terms with the cumulative effect may amount to 210 billion rubles.

The Ministry of Energy estimates the total investment in the development of hydrogen energy at RUB 145.67 billion by 2030.
