Apple tested new iPhone 13 with feature long gone from smartphones

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman confirmed that Apple will not add Touch ID in-screen fingerprint scanner to new iPhones. However, the company thought to do it.

According to Gourmet, Apple tested Touch ID on the iPhone 13. But the company's goal is to bring Face ID to the iPhone screens. According to the journalist, Apple wants to do something similar to the sub-screen camera in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3.

Bloomberg offers two possible options for how Apple could use Face ID and Touch ID in the future. For example, more expensive iPhone models could use the built-in Face ID, while cheaper models could leave Face ID in the bangs. Alternatively, inexpensive iPhones would have built-in Touch ID.

Recall that Touch ID disappeared from the iPhone instead of with the release of the iPhone X.
