Apple patches an iPhone jailbreak vulnerability
Apple has released iOS 14.8 update. It will fix a vulnerability that allowed Pegasus spyware to hack the company's smartphones. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The Pegasus program was created by the Israeli company NSO Group. Malicious software (software) was designed to spy on users of Apple gadgets.
Hacking with Pegasus was done through the iMessage app. At the same time, spyware entered the system on its own, without requiring the user to perform additional actions.
Apple advised not to hesitate to install the update. It can be downloaded to all smartphones of the company, starting with the iPhone 6s. In addition, it will be available to users of the iPad Air 2 and newer devices in the line. You can also upgrade to version 14.8 on iPod touch, macOS, and watchOS.
Earlier it was reported that Apple will hold its annual new product launch on September 14th.
