Apple introduced the eighth generation iPad. The recording of the presentation at which the announcement took place is available on the company's website.
The new iPad 8 is the continuation of the American brand's affordable tablet series. The device received a 9.7-inch IPS-screen with thin bezels and a home button, a single camera on the back. The device came out with the Apple A12 processor installed in the iPhone Xs and iPad Pro 2018.
Apple also released a new generation of iPad Air with a bezel-less 11-inch display. The device is marketed as a cheaper version of the iPad Pro. Unlike the older version, the tablet does not have Face ID, and the Touch ID biometric scanner is combined with a power button and a USB Type-C connection. The tablet will be available in five colors: black, white, gold, blue and green. This is the first device from the company with the Apple A14 processor, which is rumored to be installed in the iPhone 12.
The iPad Air is priced at $ 600. The “regular” 8th generation iPad costs $ 330. Sales will begin in October 2020.
