Apple will move production of new iPhones from China. It is reported by the publication Gadgets 360 with reference to the data of the Brazilian regulator.
Information about the production lines on which smartphones of the new generation will be assembled appeared in the report of the Brazilian regulator Anatel. It follows from it that Apple intends to disperse production at factories in three countries – China, Brazil and India. Experts believe that in this way the American company has found a way to reduce the cost of the product and bring the point of production of devices closer to the main sales markets.
The production of the iPhone, as before, will be handled by Foxconn. At the time of writing, journalists have confirmed that Apple will assemble at least one model in the series, the iPhone 12 Pro, at factories in Brazil and India. The publication also refers to an early report by the English daily Business Standard, which said that by 2021, the iPhone 12 will be produced at the Wistron plant in India.
The journalists also recalled that in the summer Apple began to produce iPhone 11 smartphones in India. Earlier, the company had already moved to the region the production of the iPhone 6s, 7, Xr and the original iPhone SE.
Despite the reduction in the cost of the product, the company does not plan to sell the smartphones presented on October 13 cheaper. In particular, in Russia the cost of the younger iPhone 12 mini is 70 thousand rubles, the top-end iPhone 12 Pro Max – 110 thousand rubles.
