Current and former Apple employees said they have collected nearly 500 stories of incidents of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. They plan to make this information public on Monday.
To keep it informed, employees created a Twitter account called Apple Workers #AppleToo. They reported that workers told them hundreds of stories of racism, sexism, discrimination, revenge, bullying, sexual and other forms of harassment. All of these stories relate to the actions of colleagues outside the Apple campus.
The main complaint of employees is that the company did nothing with these stories. Many of the victims sought information about filing a complaint with a division external to Apple. More than half of employees are willing to tell their stories to the media.
Recently, Apple's senior manager of engineering programs Ashley Gjowick revealed how her director invited her for a drink and talk about cheating on his wife and mistresses. This Apple called normal and allegedly sent the woman on administrative leave.
